Externship Program

Denver Dental Assistant School’s 40-hour externship program provides our students with the real-world experience they need to become confident and qualified dental assistants. The externship portion of our course allows our students the opportunity to work under the direct guidance of experienced dental professionals in a local dental office. Students are eligible to begin their externships after class 6.

What do I Get after Graduation?

Students who graduate from Denver Dental Assistant School receive their Dental Assistant Certificate from our school, which states that they are ready to enter the workforce as a Dental Assistant.

Additionally, students receive their BLS (CPR) certification in class through the American Heart Association.

Denver Dental Assistant School is an approved Radiology course through the state of Colorado so upon graduation, students will be prepared to take x-rays in their jobs.

As an added benefit to you, our curriculum covers the expanded functions of coronal polishing and nitrous oxide in our standard course, with no additional cost you! Please note, the Colorado Dental Board does not recognize Expanded Duty Dental Assistants (EDDA) as an added designation.

The Denver Dental Assistant School is approved and regulated by the Colorado Department of Higher Education, Private Occupational School Board.

We have dedicated Career Service Representatives to help you find your dream job!

Although we encourage our students to find their own externships, our externship coordinators are here to help our students identify potential opportunities in the area and assist with applications.
